This paper introduces the formulation and revision principles of Baosteel cold rolled product packaging standard, reviews the evolution process and improvement of the standard, analyzes the existing problems and puts forward corresponding suggestions, hoping to provide a useful reference for further improving packaging quality, improving packaging methods and reducing packaging costs in the future

1 formulation and revision principles

Baosteel cold rolled product packaging standard covers six categories of cold rolled products: cold rolled sheet, hot-dip galvanized sheet, electro galvanized sheet, color coated sheet, tinplate, and electrical steel. In terms of formulation and revision time, it has experienced the period of planned economy, the transition period from planned economy to market economy, and the current period of continuous development of market economy. Generally speaking, no matter what kind of product it is or at what time, the formulation and revision of the standard always follow the following principles:

1 L on the premise of ensuring product quality,

1.3 based on meeting the requirements of on-site production

due to the different conditions of unit equipment and production site, factors such as lifting equipment, packaging site and warehouse should be fully considered when preparing and revising the standard, and on this basis, packaging standards suitable for on-site production requirements should be formulated to ensure the requirements of stable and smooth production

1.4 based on the standards of foreign advanced enterprises

Baosteel's production equipment and technology are mostly imported from abroad, and the product quality is at the leading level in China. Recyclable, recyclable and renewable materials such as steel, wood and paperboard should be selected as far as possible to maintain ecological balance and achieve sustainable development. in the development process of more than a decade, in order to adapt to market changes, meet user and production needs, ensure production, break through technical bottlenecks and limited product quality, and reduce packaging costs, Baosteel has successively formulated eight packaging standards for cold rolled products, and constantly updated, improved and integrated these standards, Its development process can be generally divided into the following three stages:

2.1 the initial exploration stage from 1988 to 1994

since the end of 1988, all units of Baosteel 2030 Cold Rolling Plant have been put into operation successively, and the main products are cold rolled sheet, electro galvanized sheet, hot-dip galvanized sheet and color coated sheet. When formulating the enterprise standard in 1988, considering that the production equipment and process technology were imported from abroad, but the products were sold in China, the general provisions of the national standard GB 247-80 steel plate and strip acceptance, packaging, marking and quality certificate were directly adopted

at the beginning of construction, due to the large number of users ordering small packages, the packaging speed can not keep up with the production rhythm when packaging according to the national standard, which affects the smooth logistics. Therefore, some simpler packages have been added to shorten the packaging time for users with short transportation distance and service cycle. At the same time, the specific packaging methods have been adjusted in combination with the actual situation. In 1990, the practice since the commencement of construction was summarized, and the temporary technical conditions for supply of Baosteel bzj 400-90 cold rolled steel sheet and strip packaging regulations were formulated. Compared with the national standard GB 247-80, the steel plate packaging in bzj 400-90 adds bare packaging and simple packaging, a total of four forms. Exposed packaging is added to the roll, with a total of 6 forms. At that time, due to the small output of cold-rolled products, limited scope of use and lack of sufficient experience, this standard was formulated as a temporary technical condition for supply, and then revised into an enterprise standard after it was used and improved

with the increase of output, quality and application scope of 2030 Cold Rolling Plant, bzj 400-90 has exposed some problems in use, mainly corrosion, indentation and loose packaging. In addition to the imperfect packaging, poor domestic storage and transportation conditions and rough handling are also one of the main reasons for these problems. In most cases, Baosteel cannot control the storage, transportation, loading and unloading links, so it can only reduce them as much as possible by improving the packaging strength and packaging methods and materials. For this reason, a series of measures have been taken, such as adding plastic film, using full box packaging, improving antirust paper, adding water leakage holes on the outer packaging, increasing the number of binding passes, slotting skids, replacing longitudinal wood with steel pipes, increasing the thickness of the upper cover plate, etc. After taking the above measures, good results have been achieved, and user complaints have been significantly reduced. Since bzj 400-90 has been very different from the actual operation, the practical experience of several years was summarized in 1994, and the packaging regulations of Baosteel enterprise standard BQB 400-94 cold rolled steel sheet and strip were formulated. Compared with bzj 400-90, BQB 400-94 only adds one packaging method (4 steel plates and 7 steel coils), but the packaging quality has been greatly improved. This is the first formal packaging standard for cold rolled products of Baosteel, which basically meets the market demand at that time, and also lays a good foundation for future revision

2.2 the rapid development stage from 1995 to 2000

this stage is a period when Baosteel 2030 Cold Rolling Plant is stable and smooth, 1420 Cold Rolling Plant and 1550 cold rolling plant are put into operation successively, the market economy continues to develop, and user demand continues to increase. The 1994 standard can no longer meet the actual needs, and the standard cannot be revised frequently. In order to solve this problem, Baosteel adopted the standard+ α In the form of 334 building ground engineering packaging code to meet the requirements of users

to achieve standards+ α For packaging, we must first solve how to scientifically and reasonably formulate the packaging code to meet the needs of users and facilitate production and sales. After carefully studying the packaging standards of famous foreign steel companies such as Thyssen and Nippon Steel, Baosteel put forward the design idea of combined packaging code. That is, first determine several basic packaging methods and name their corresponding codes as basic codes. Then, based on the packaging materials used in the basic packaging methods, add and subtract according to transportation distance, storage conditions, climatic conditions, user types, special requirements and other factors, combine the packaging methods that meet different requirements, and give the corresponding codes. This method can not only meet the needs of users in a timely and flexible manner, but also facilitate cost control and the host to adopt different fixture packaging improvements. Secondly, to solve the problem of information transmission of code, packaging code, as an important process parameter, must be implemented through computer management system. Baosteel formulates the code as a 2-digit character type according to the software and hardware conditions of each unit, so that the transformation of the equipment is less, and the number of codes can reach hundreds, which can fully meet the needs of future development. Through efforts, this code system has been completed and put into operation in 1998

during this period, in order to meet the needs of 1420 Cold Rolling Plant to put into production, the packaging standard of tinplate bzj 400-97 tinplate and steel strip was formulated in 1997. During the enterprise standard review in 1998, bzj 400-97 was integrated into BQB 400-94, and the packaging, marking and quality certificate of BQB 400-1999 tandem cold rolled steel plate and strip were issued in early 1999. The standard includes 7 kinds of steel plate packaging (4 kinds of tinplate and 3 kinds of other products) and 5 kinds of steel coil packaging. After the release of the 1999 edition of the standard, the electrical steel mill began to put into operation. Therefore, the general provisions on the packaging, marking and quality certificate of bzj 400-1999 cold-rolled non oriented electrical steel strip were formulated. In order to improve the packaging quality of tinned coils, a vertical packaging unit was added to 1420 Cold Rolling Mill in 2000. Therefore, the vertical packaging of bzj 455-2000 electroplated tinned steel strip was formulated

2.3 improvement stage from 2001 to 2003

by the end of 2001, Baosteel had three packaging standards, and the number of standards was too large for users to use. In addition, some contents of the three standards overlap, and there are too many basic packaging methods. Some packaging methods need to be modified according to the practical results. Therefore, the integration of the three standards began in 2001, and the packaging, marking and quality certificate of BQB 400-2002 tandem cold rolled steel plate and strip were issued in 2002. This revision integrates the packaging methods of different varieties as far as possible. For example, horizontal packaging is integrated into three forms regardless of product type, vertical packaging is integrated with electrical steel and other products, and steel plate packaging is integrated with tinplate and other products, which effectively reduces the standard quantity and packaging methods. During the reexamination of the enterprise standard in 2003, only the contents of bqb400-2002 were individually modified and revised into the packaging, marking and quality certificate of BQB 400-2003 cold rolled products

in addition, since the packaging code is formulated in different periods to meet different varieties and different needs, it is lack of systematization on the whole, and the number of codes is obviously too large, which brings certain difficulties to use, management and operation
